Legal Guarantee of Conformity (EU)
All products sold by Mooring Solution benefit from the European Union legal guarantee of conformity for a period of two (2) years from the date of delivery.
This legal guarantee applies to products that are defective or not in conformity with the contract at the time of delivery, in accordance with applicable EU consumer protection laws.
This guarantee applies independently of any commercial warranty.
What Is Covered
Subject to normal and intended use, the warranty covers defects including, but not limited to:
- Water ingress into the electronic box
- Failure of the automatic rope lock
- Rope breakage
- Software malfunction
- Battery failure
What Is Not Covered
The warranty does not cover defects or damage resulting from:
- Improper installation
- Improper use or misuse
- Exceeding specified operating limits, including:
- Submerging the case below a depth of one metre
- Exposing the case to seawater where prohibited
- Using the product at depths greater than 23 metres
- Mechanical damage caused by rough handling
- Normal wear and tear
Proof of Purchase
A valid proof of purchase is required to make a warranty claim.
The purchase invoice is sufficient for this purpose.
Warranty Resolution
If a product is found to be defective and covered under warranty, Mooring Solution will, at its discretion:
- Repair the product, or
- Replace the product
Refunds may be offered where repair or replacement is not possible, in accordance with applicable consumer laws.
Return of Faulty Products
Customers must contact Mooring Solution before returning any faulty product to receive return instructions.
Return shipping costs for faulty or defective products are borne by Mooring Solution.
Extended Warranty
At present, no commercial warranty beyond the EU legal guarantee is offered.
Mooring Solution may introduce optional extended warranty options in the future. Any such warranties will be subject to separate terms and conditions.
